Raymond “Buck” Marshall Hackworth age 80 of Fleming County, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019. He was born in Lewis County on April 11, 1939, a son of the late Ruben M. and Lena Applegate Hackworth. Raymond followed in his father’s footsteps and was a lifelong farmer. He was a good hearted person who was well-liked with lots of friends in the farming community. He is survived by: his daughter, Sherri and her husband, Barry Griffith of Seaman, OH; grandchildren, Kelly and his wife, Amber Griffith, Ashley and her husband, Charlie Lorenzo, and Amber and her husband, Johnathon Campton; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill and his wife, Norma Hackworth; two sisters, Vina Mae and her husband, Orville Carver, and Darlene Tolle; his very special friend of 23 years, Wanda Hunt and her daughters, Julie Adams and Hope Daniels-Brown; mother of his daughter, Bonnie Walters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, his was preceded in death by: an infant daughter, Bonnie Raye Hackworth; and grandson, Dwayne Hurst. Funeral services for Mr. Hackworth will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, May 31, 2019 in the chapel of Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Jerry Boling and Rev. David Hopkins. Visitation will be 11am-2pm Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be John David Adams, Bobby Adams, Chris Williams, Tim Flack, Tim Doyle, Drew Tully, Kevin Emmons, and Kelly Griffith. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Swim, Charles Adams, Bill Colgan Sug Colgan, Tanner Floyd, Taylor Williams, Steve Hickerson, Michael Ruggles and Kenny Dearing.
